President Bush Hosts Red Sox

St. Michael's Beats Penmen

Gerald Carter had 21 points but Southern New Hampshire still fell to St. Michael's 86-78 Tuesday night.  The loss leaves the Penmen in 10th place in the Northeast 10.  They will now visit Bryant for the first round of the conference tournament Saturday afternoon.  www.snhu.edu has more. 


Hawks Rout Stonehill in Season Finale

Chris Vetrano, Branimir Zeko, and Thomas Baudinet each scored 16 points as the Hawks crushed Stonehill, 86-61.  The win leaves the Hawks in 9th place in the conference with a first round meeting at LeMoyne Saturday.

Monarchs Routed by Devils

The Lowell Devils continued their dominance over the Monarchs, scoring five unanswered goals to begin the game.  Lowell ended up winning 7-3 to take seven of their eight meetings this season.  Manchester is still four points behind Springfield for the final playoff spot in the Atlantic.  They visit Worcester Friday night. www.manchestermonarchs.com has more.


Bruins Stay Hot against Ottawa

Zdeno Chara scored twice and Tim Thomas made 22 saves as the Bruins shutout the Senators 4-0 at the Garden.  The B's have won five of their last six, taking 11 of 12 points in the process.  The B's are tied for 6th in the conference and will continue their 3-game homestand tomorrow night against Pittsburgh.  www.bostonbruins.com has all the latest Bruins news and notes.


Regan POW; Herman Also Honored

For the 2nd straight week, the UNH men's hockey team is locked in at No.3 in the national polls after their sweep of Boston College.  After allowing just one goal in the sweep, Kevin Regan has been named Hockey East co-Player of the Week.  For the ladies, the 2nd-ranked Cats saw freshman goalie Kayley Herman named Hockey East Defensive player of the week.  www.unhwildcats.com has more.


Celtics Back to Work Tonight

A five-game homestand begins tonight for the Celtics when they host the Cavaliers at the Garden.  The C's are coming off a 2-3 road trip out west.  They may have interest in Clippers guard Sam Cassell if and when he receives a buyout from his team today.  www.celtics.com also has more.


Millrats Hit the Road
